The Big Apple

In my last blog I mentioned that I had travelled to New York City.

It was such a busy time as it was Thanksgiving and Black Friday (one of the most busiest shopping days of the year in the US). I had an amazing time visiting my family and friends. The food was great and of course there was plenty shopping!

I travelled with my sister and my little man, who has become quite a traveller these days as this was his second flight of the year. He was well behaved on this trip.

So my stay was for 6 days, and it was not long enough, but due to work commitments I couldn’t stay any longer. With so much to do and so little time, I knew it was going to be a struggle.

First morning after our arrival we headed down to IHOP (International House Of Pancakes) Mmmmm. My gosh, the food is amazing. If you ever go to the states you must go and visit this restaurant for breakfast😋.

I celebrated my 1st Thanksgiving with my US family. Thanksgiving is an annual national holiday in America. It commemorates a harvest festival celebrated by the Pilgrim Fathers in 1621, and is held in the US on the fourth Thursday in November. American celebrate with a traditional meal, just like Christmas. There was just so much food and I really enjoyed the experience.

Other than catching up with family I hadn’t seen for years, the highlight of my trip was going shopping. Taking the Metro down to Manhattan and Times Square is just a sight to see. When I arrived I was so excited, like a child in a sweetie shop😆. They say it’s the city that never sleeps and it’s so true, it was extremely busy. imageimage

I left Raheem back at the family home so I was able to enjoy the full shopping experience, also joining in with the hustle and bustle of it all.

One of my first stops was Victoria’s Secret as well as some gorgeous lingerie they have some really cool lounge wear, and I’m in love with their body mist sprays one of my fave is Love Spell and with the sales being so good made me just want to buy everything🙈. Macy’s was good and mad busy too. So many stores I couldn’t possibly name them all but I have to say that Century 21 was a great store for me to get lots of designer wear at slash prices for my little man, he done brilliantly out of this trip lol. In all shopping was great but super tiring 🙈 (showing my age lol)

Overall I had a blast. Please forgive me for lack of pictures I was too busy shopping🙈.  I can’t wait until I book my next trip back to the Big Apple. Next time I will most certainly fit in some sight seeing and of course gotta fit in more shopping too🙈.
