My Mr proposed to me back in December 2015. However I had no real intention at that time to start planning our wedding. I had far too much on my agenda at that time. Fast forward two and a bit years and I am finally ready. Over the next year counting down to my wedding, I will share various blogs with you on my journey. From my bridal party, wedding venue, dress shopping the lot.
For now my main target is to lose a little weight around my belly and tone the hell up! 🏋🏾♀️ No one wants to feel like a heffer on their wedding day. So putting in the work is really important. Whatever your goal is, you can achieve it, if you work hard. 💯
My friends and colleagues often laugh and roll their eyes when I mention that I need to lose weight and go on a healthy eating regime. All they see is my height and well hid body in clothes. I mean we can all hide some lumps and bumps if you dress appropriately. However under those clothes, i’m in need of some serious toning. So in order to look and feel my best on my big day I need to be consistent in my journey.
I recently started back some light exercise at home. That was my way of easing back into it. Then phase two was starting back at the gym. The membership I have been paying for forever and not using! 🙄 I think it’s actually the hardest thing getting back into it. However once you bite the bullet and go, and release those endorphins you feel great. It’s that feeling that makes it easier to go back. But it’s everything else you do that makes it hard. Work, family and just finding time. I have 12 months to reach my goal, so no more excuses I have to make a conscious effort and I have enough time to do it gradually, so hopefully it will last.
